Modern Arrangement: Cardboard Design

Innovative, unique design that brings a new take on recyclable resources. This style would look impressive at a corporate event or commercial outlet

Fig.1 - This design is based on the contrast between soft and strong. The flowers are perfectly blended and emphasise growth.

Fig.2 - This design is alot more textured to Sluis other arrangement. Its style flows and is relaxed by its choice of delicate flowers.

Fig.3 - Here the paper claims all attention. The roughness of the torn paper forms a striking contrast with the softness of the flowers.

My Design

Final Design 10/04/2014
For the cardboard design i grouped smaller and larger wheels of cardboard to create a layered effect. I think this creates depth and a contemporary twist to the Lily's

The closed bud of the lily give it a mono tonal pallet with the greens reflecting the Eco theme.

The container i used was recycled and gives it a modern touch. I would use this container for a restaurant commission.

The Development

Constructing this arrangement was a long process due to the manipulation of the cardboard. To create the effect i layered different heights of cardboard and hot glued together.

Step Two 10/04/2014

Simply using corrugated cardboard, roll into cylinders and hot gluing in sections to secure your shape. To create different heights cut the cardboard a random widths.

To prep the container holding your arrangement mould oasis foam to fit. Fill to the brim making sure it doesn't overflow. If it overflows the cardboard will become soggy ruining the overall design.

Step Three 10/04/2014

To create height in your design insert long twigs which secures both the Lily's and the cardboard to the design.
